Season 12 Coming Soon

Season 12 is coming soon and that means we needed a new, updated website for the new logo, new theme, and to help make things run smoother. And that's why there's a blog here. Season 12 is going to be the most well produced season we've done yet with every scoring sheet posted online here on this blog. You will be able to go to the site and monitor how your team is doing much easier than before. Announcements, team change updates, and more will all be put into this blog. It will be the centerpiece of the season and hopefully make this all run smoother than it has in previous seasons.

That said, I'd like to restate that this is an open-invite season. Invite anyone you think wants to play. They pay the $10 entry fee and attend the draft and they're in. If they don't work out, I reserve the right to not re-invite them next season. Season 12 sign ups have begun and the deadline is April 15th. Deadline to pay the entry fee is whatever day we end up doing the draft.

As far as new announcements for today, I have one. Your team will still consist of six wrestlers but they will not be split into two teams (one Raw, one Smackdown). You will have 5 active and 1 on the bench and these can be from any show. If you want 6 wrestlers from Raw for some reason, go for it. Wanna keep the same 3/3 split? Go for it. But, rosters will be locked from the start of Raw until the end of Smackdown every week. No more team changes between the two shows.

"In Your House" is the theme for the season and was a series of pay-per-view events that ran from 1995 to 1999, each with its own themes and taglines. The follow up to the "Rivalries" theme was chosen as a throwback to these events which included some great matches and storylines including the debut of Kane during a match between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker. As it is an open-invite season, I wonder what debuts we'll see? What kinds of matchups will we see when ACFW is "In Your House"?

Fun Fact: The WWF Championship would never change hands at any event in the In Your House series. A new champion was crowned only once, in a four corners elimination match for the vacant title at February 1997's In Your House 13: Final Four; Shawn Michaels was forced to relinquish the championship due to injury three days earlier, turning what was originally a number one contender's match into a title match. This had absolutely nothing to do with the choice of theme for Season 12...
