Azalea City Fantasy Wrestling kicks off its twelfth season this Monday, June 4th with Monday Night Raw. The draft will be conducted at some point in the next few days. Draft order will be determined as soon as possible. Ten weeks of competition and two game changing pay-per-view events will lead up to a fast paced, one week playoff between the top four teams. Summerslam on August 19th will determine the champion for this season.
Although a tough task, I intend for Season 12 to be better than 11 in every way. In an effort to make that possible, the following changes have been made:
- Can have 6 total wrestlers (5 active, 1 bench) from any show, eliminating the need to limit yourself to 3 from each brand
- Can choose which 3 wrestlers will represent you at Pay-Per-View events
- Team changes will be done through group text, allowing you to immediately see what other players are doing
- Live scoring on the blog for certain events
- Wrestlers have one finisher now instead of two, reducing confusion and making it easier to follow
- No injured reserve spot
- Pay-Per-Views now count as two weekly games. Double points, double wins, double losses. This makes it simpler and easier to understand
- Standings calculated on Win-Loss record instead of percentages. Again, to make things easier to understand
- No team changes between Raw and Smackdown, eliminating the need to sub in and out superstars from each show
- If someone is injured between the two shows, you can sub in your bench player. That way, you're not stuck scoring zero
All of that had been previously announced but I thought it'd be helpful to have it all in one place. Other than rule changes, the major news is that this will be the most well produced season I've done. For my part, I will upload every scoring sheet into the blog. That will allow you to see exactly who scored what and how. Team changes will also be put on the blog, as will occasional recaps and hype for some upcoming shows. On average, expect at least two posts a week on this blog.
This blog is for the players. You can see score sheets, team changes, and everything else here. It's all centered on this and the group text. If you want something posted on the blog, let me know. Yes, that does mean you can trash talk through this. I'll post interesting facts and such as well periodically.
