Season 12 will conclude on August 19th with the Summerslam pay-per-view. ACFW will return for a 13th season but first, there will be a mini game called "ACFW: Gauntlet". It will be the third offseason mini game I've ran with the first being the "Great Balls of Fire Championship" which was won by Ben and the second being the "ACFW Mixed Match Challenge" which was won by Jacob and Terry. In an effort to make this game a little more fun, the prize will be the first pick in the Season 13 draft.
All draft orders have always been randomized, so this will be no different. The teams will be randomized, therefore insuring that the winner can't be altered by any player. This game is simply a way to make the show more fun to watch and make determining that first pick more interesting.
The game will begin on September 16th at the HiaC pay-per-view and conclude on October 1st with Monday Night Raw. Here's how it's going to work:
- Each player will be assigned a number 1-9 determining their entry number into the gauntlet match.
- #1 will play #2 at HiaC with the winner playing #3 on Raw the next night. Winner of that plays #4 on Smackdown. Winner of that plays #5 on 205 Live... And so on until October 1st when #9 will play against whoever remains. Winner of that game will be declared the winner and earn the 1st pick in the Season 13 draft.
- Teams are also left up to chance. #1's team will be the first three wrestlers that appear on any given show. #2's team will be the next three wrestlers. The lower # always gets the first three wrestlers. For example, if #3 is playing #5, #3 gets the first three and #5 gets the next three.
- Scoring is simplified. 1 point per appearance, 2 points for winning any match.
- Wrestlers earn an appearance point for every individual segment they appear in, not just one appearance point for the whole show. (Being on screen before and after a commercial doesn't count as two appearances.)
- If it ends in a tie, the team that reached that amount of points first wins.
