Season 14 begins on May 6th! That's less than two months away and there will be a preseason week beginning on April 29th, so we'll be back to playing fantasy wrestling in no time. Below, I've put together a single collection of information about the season. Please make sure you understand all the updates and rule changes, so that there isn't any confusion once the season actually begins.
Confirmed players:
- Austin
- Ben
- Terry
- Jeff
- Chris
- Carl
- Jacob
- Madelyn
Anyone not wanting to play should inform me as soon as possible. Anyone wanting to be added to the list should also inform me as soon as possible. The entry fee is $10 and is due on draft day (to be determined).
Rule Changes:
- "World title" changed to "main title". "Main title" includes the WWE Championship, the Universal Championship, and the Raw and Smackdown Women's Championship.
- Participating in a main title match will be worth 2 points. Winning one will be worth 4 points.
- Winning a number one contender's match for a main title will be worth 3 points.
- A decisive victory in any main event (last match) will be worth 2 bonus points.
***Please note that these are being tested right now and there may be more changes announced soon***
Keepers:
- Each player will have the option at the beginning of Season 15 to select one wrestler from their Season 14 team to keep. New players and players choosing not to keep anyone will be allowed to select a wrestler before the actual draft begins to even things out.
- We will draft all new teams for Season 14. No one gets to keep any wrestlers from Season 13.
New Team Change Rule:
- There is no waiver wire.
- Rosters will lock fifteen minutes before Raw starts and remain locked until noon on Wednesday of each week. This is to allow players who cannot watch the shows live to have a fair chance to get the best free agents. No team changes can be submitted while rosters are locked.
- Rosters will lock fifteen minutes before any pay-per-view and remain locked until noon on Monday.
- With no waivers, all team changes are immediately active when submitted through the group text. No changes sent outside the group text will count.
Team Captains:
- Teams will have 4 active wrestlers and 2 on the bench (Changed from 5 active, 1 bench).
- For weekly games, one wrestler will be the team captain and will score double points for the week.
- At pay-per-views, there will be 3 active wrestlers and 3 on the bench. At these shows, all wrestlers score double points so there will be no team captains.
Schedule and Other Info:
- The Season will begin May 6th with a one week preseason the week before. It will be ten weeks long and include the Money in the Bank and Backlash pay-per-views.
- The playoffs will take place at Extreme Rules. The top 4 teams will play with #1 getting to choose their opponent.
- Summerslam on August 11th will be the championship game.
- There will be prizes given out for various things throughout the season for random stuff to give everyone a chance to win something even if they're the last place team in the league. The first prize will be given to the winner of the ACFW WWE 2K19 Championship at the draft.
- There will be some extra games between the playoffs and the championship game for those that didn't reach the championship. Rewards for winning these games are to be determined. I'm considering having a mini tournament between the bottom four with the winner getting to choose their spot in the draft for Season 15.
- Lower ranked teams in Season 14 will receive the best draft positions for Season 15. Details are to be determined.
- The draft date is to be determined and it will be a live draft once again with food, drinks, and a video game tournament. I hope everyone is able to make it whenever we get it scheduled as the draft is always more fun with everyone there.
