No, we're not halfway to the championship game. This week's title is about Carl, who is 'halfway there' to 7th place. And as always, people will be buried. Continue reading at your own risk.
First, let's talk about our current #1 ranked player. Tess has held that spot from the start of the season and seems to have no intentions of dropping below that. Unfortunately for The Golden Shovel, that means I can't make fun of her again.
I can make fun of everyone else though, so let's start with #2. Ben had his first opportunity to take back his #1 ranking but, on a week where Tess scored low, he only managed 17 points. In fact, with 17.5 points, Tess pulled slightly farther ahead. Ben will definitely need to step up if he intends to win a fourth championship.
Then, there's Jacob, who once again proved that Kofi Kingston can carry his team by himself. I personally think that luck will run out soon. So, his question for next week is... Can Kofi lead his team four weeks in a row?
Madelyn made the smart decision making R-Truth her team captain after forgetting to start him last week. Still not enough to outscore Chris though. Speaking of, Chris did manage to score the second highest points in week 3 and even outscored Ben. But, he still is in 5th place in the standings and seems to be going nowhere.
Jeff actually dropped a spot in the rankings and judging by the ridiculously low scores from Daniel Bryan, will soon be winning a "Never Give Up" towel for his captain's awful performance.
Austin, on the other hand, successfully climbed the Mountain of Ten Points with a 17 for the week. And he was the first to use one of his team's boosts for this season, bringing his grand total to 25.5 and that led to him jumping over Jeff in the standings. With such an impressive comeback, could he be on his way to the playoffs soon? Oh wait, that says 25. Never-mind. Thought it was 45 points. With only 25 after a boost, I'm going to call this one a fluke. Expect him to drop back to 7th place this week!
Finally, there's Carl. His 50.5 total points after 3 weeks and 1 pay-per-view is the lowest of all time and he has only half the points of the 7th place team. You're halfway there! Keep up the good work!
"Austin, just let me know who my opponent is at the championship when it gets here."
-Ben
"@ Austin. Come control your family."
-Chris
"Look at all those losers getting made fun of."
-Tess
We are now only two weeks away from the second pay-per-view of the season. That means only two more weeks for team captains to determine who wins the prizes at Stomping Grounds. After this week, I'll make sure to let everyone know who is in the lead for those prizes.
For this week, I only hope that someone takes the #1 spot from Tess. It's quite irritating not being able to make fun of everyone in the league. Make sure to stop by next week where we will again make fun of everyone except the first place team. Until then, good luck to all!
