As far as rule changes for this season, I haven't made many. The scoring system is almost exactly the same as last season. The following changes were made:
- Appearances now count as 2 points and can only be awarded once per show
- Points for first appearance have been removed
- The maximum amount of points that can be earned from weapons in one show has been raised from two to three
- Team captain's 50% boost to points is now rounded down to the nearest half-point. This eliminates the chance of a .25 or .75 from happening
That's all that's been changed apart from some minor rephrasing of existing rules. On the rules page, anything that is different from Season 14 is in bold. If you have any questions about the rules, feel free to ask me.
Team changes have been completely changed from last season. Because of the 'AJ Styles incident', the first come first served free agency has been eliminated. Instead, all unowned wrestlers will be placed on waivers at the end of any pay-per-view or regular game until two hours before the start of the next pay-per-view or regular game. (For example, if the pay-per-view ended at 10:00pm on Sunday and the next game starts with Raw at 7:00pm on Monday, the wrestlers are on waivers from 10:00pm Sunday until 5:00pm Monday)
While on waivers, you cannot pick any of those wrestlers up without wagering points. You can wager as few or as many as you'd like and when waivers end, the team that wagered the most gets the wrestler. This comes at a price, however, as the wagered amount of points will be deducted from their score in their next game. (For example, if Ben wagers 4 points, then Chris raises it to 5, then Justin raises it to 6... then Justin would get the wrestler and lose 6 points in his next game.)
During the last two hours before the game starts (so 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Monday in the example above), free agents once again become first come first served and anyone can add and drop wrestlers without wagering points. Any wrestler dropped during this time is locked. They cannot be picked up by anyone and after the upcoming game, they are placed on waivers. (So if Chris drops Drew Mcintyre at 5:30pm on Monday in our example, no one can pick up Mcintyre until the next set of waivers)
This system is being used to give everyone an equal chance at every free agent. Now no one will miss out on a good wrestler because of poor cell phone reception or other issues.
So, that's all the rule updates for the season. Next post will detail the draft process for this season.
