Season 16 has reached its conclusion. Now, only four teams remain. The first is Madelyn, who will be participating in her first ever championship game. The other three will fight it out for the next two weeks to determine who Madelyn's opponent will be in that game. Let's take a look at the three teams competing...
First, we have #2 Terry. He is a two-time champion, winning championships in Season 2 and Season 10. And for the last several weeks, his team has scored more than 30 points. And more than 40 points on more than one occasion. Of the three teams in this playoff, he seems to be the strongest in recent weeks.
Next, we have #3 Austin, who is the current ACFW champion, defeating Jacob at last year's Royal Rumble to win the Season 15 championship. He is the only four-time champion in league history. Historically, he appears to be the best in this playoff. But, a loss would certainly create an argument for whoever wins should they defeat Madelyn.
Finally, we have #4 Ben. He is a three-time champion and has reached the postseason in 6 consecutive seasons now. He is no stranger to this level of play. But, his team has been trending downward in points for the last few weeks. However, at his best this season, he's scored over 50 points in one week. Do that in the playoffs and victory is almost assured.
Between these three teams, they have achieved 77 victory points and a massive 1,677 total points. These are huge numbers and there is little doubt that these are the best three teams other than Madelyn this season.
Historically, these are the three best players this league has ever seen. Only once in all fifteen seasons has there been a playoff that didn't involve at least one of them. Season 2 and Season 11's championship games were Austin vs Terry. Season 6 and Season 13's championship games were Ben vs Terry. And Season 8 was Ben vs Austin. These three competing for championships is an expectation at this point.
The only question is which of them will actually win this match. According to our simulator, Terry has a 50% chance to win the game. Ben has a 28% chance and Austin has a 22% chance. The game is also expected to be fairly close with the projected final score after both weeks being 68-54-52.
We asked all three participants what their thoughts were about the upcoming game. Here is what they had to say:

"To have a triple threat match, the first thing you need are 2 other people who can actually threaten to win the match. Now, you may look at my opponents and think they are 2 of the best the ACFW has ever had. And, that would be correct. 2 of the best we ever HAD. Past tense... both of these guys are way past their prime and it's time I took back what is rightfully mine so you two can just stay out of my way. Madelyn... see you at the Rumble."
