Season 17 Schedule Reveal

Our number of players for this season has dropped from 8 to 7. With that change, some of the plans for the season had to be adjusted. So, please disregard everything that was said about the format of the season in the previous post (the rule changes and waiver wire rules in that post remain the same). That said, here is the new format for the season:

- There are no divisions.

- Teams will play all other teams twice, once in a singles match and once in a triple threat match.

- At the end of the season, extra victory points will be awarded to teams based on how they performed in PPV games. PPV games will not award victory points at all until that happens. All PPV events between May 16th and August 1st will be scored.

- There will be an off week for every team one week before the playoffs and consolation bracket begin.

- The top 3 teams at the end of the season will advance to the playoffs. #1 will get a bye week while #2 and #3 play in a 2 week playoff with the winner advancing to the championship game.

- The bottom 4 teams at the end of the season will participate in the consolation bracket.

- The entry fee is $15. Prizes will be announced later.

The same victory point system from last season will be used for this season. You'll score 1 victory point for winning your game and an additional victory point if you score higher than at least half of the players that week (usually the top 3 teams). PPV game points will be tracked separately and at the end of the season, the top PPV player scores 10 extra victory points (8,6,5,4,2,0 for the rest of the players). Points scored at PPV events will still count toward your point totals in the standings.

Triple threat matches will award 2 victory points to the team that scores the most, 1 victory point to second place, and 0 to the losing team. This makes it possible to score 3 victory points in 1 week during the weeks you are in a triple threat match.
